– Maintaining Joint Health
– Joint anti- inflammatory agent in osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis
Each tablet contains 225 mg oleoresin gum of Boswellia serrata, 91 mg fruit extract of Apium graveolens, 60 mg rhizome extract of Zingiber officinale, 80 mg rhizome extract of Curcuma longa based on 70.4 mg curcuminoids.
Therapeutical Effects and Pharmacological Action:
Osteoarthritis or arthritis is a common joint disease, which is specifically associated with progressive degeneration of the cartilage in the joints. Cartilage is a resilient and smooth elastic tissue covering the ends of the bones at a joint. Patients with damage to the cartilage will experience arthritis or inflammation of the joints.
Age increases joints vulnerability. At the same time improper strain or the aftereffect of trauma, such as unergonomic sitting positions or over burdening may result in partial or complete wear and tear of the cartilage.
Arthrodin Tablets, with its anti-inflammatory effects and high anti-oxidant content, can improve joint health. Also it alleviates pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.
Boswellia contains proper amount of boswellic acid that can maintain joints’ health due to its anti-inflammatory properties via inhibiting COX-II enzyme. Leukotrienes are basically involved in naturally occurring inflammatory responses in body. So as their secretion is inhibited, levels of pain and inflammation are decreased as a consequence. Boswellia will also help maintain the integration of the cartilage. (Cartilage is a type of connective tissue, that is directly associated with the flexibility of the joints).
According to the clinical trials conducted, British Arthritis Research Campaign has introduced Boswellia as a safe and efficient agent in reducing pain and musculoskeletal disorders associated with arthritis.
Celery seed supports healthy joints. It is traditionally thought to do this by supporting the normal function of the kidneys to clear acidic waste products. This means that the waste products do not get deposited in other tissues, such as the connective tissue or fluid around the joints, and helps keep the joint healthy.
Zingiber, as a joint protective agent, contains anti-inflammatory properties via inhibition of release of leukotrienes and prostaglandins also via inhibition of COX-II enzyme.
Curcuma with its anti-inflammatory effects can block biosynthesis of leukotrienes through inhibition of COX-II enzyme. Anti oxidative effects of curcuma is a potential protective factor for cells towards destructive effect of free radicals.
